Cookie Policy
In compliance with the provisions of Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, this website informs you, in this section, about its policy on the collection and processing of cookies. That article establishes that service providers may use data storage and retrieval devices on recipients’ terminal equipment, provided that the users have given their consent after being provided with clear and comprehensive information about their use, in particular regarding the purposes of the data processing, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
WHAT COOKIES ARE
A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your computer when you access certain web pages. Cookies allow a website, among other things, to store and retrieve information about a user’s or their device’s browsing habits and, depending on the information they contain and the way in which the device is used, they may be used to recognise the user. The user’s browser stores cookies on the hard drive only for the duration of the current session, occupying minimal memory space and not harming the computer. Cookies do not contain any specific type of personal information and most of them are deleted from the hard drive at the end of the browser session (so‑called session cookies).
Most browsers accept cookies as standard and, independently of them, allow temporary or stored cookies to be allowed or blocked in the security settings. Without your express consent, by enabling cookies in your browser, EURP-EQUIP will not link the data stored in cookies to your personal data.
TIPOS DE COOKIES
Cookies can be broadly grouped into the following categories:
- Own cookies: those that are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third‑party cookies: those that are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
If cookies are installed from a device or domain managed by the editor itself, but the information collected through them is managed by a third party, they cannot be considered own cookies. There is also a second classification according to the length of time they remain stored in the customer’s browser, which may be:
-
Types of cookies according to the length of time they remain activated:
- Session cookies: a type of cookie designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page. They are usually used to store information that is only kept for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion (e.g. a list of purchased products).
- Persistent cookies: a type of cookie in which the data remain stored on the terminal and may be accessed and processed for a period defined by the controller of the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
Lastly, there is another classification with five types of cookies according to the purpose for which the data obtained are processed:
-
Types of cookies according to their purpose: depending on the purpose for which the data obtained through the cookies are processed, we can distinguish between:
- Technical cookies: those that allow the user to browse through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services it offers, such as, for example, controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted‑access areas, remembering the items that make up an order, carrying out the purchase process for an order, making a request for registration or participation in an event, using security elements while browsing, storing content for the broadcasting of videos or sound, or sharing content via social media.
- Personalisation cookies: those that allow the user to access the service with some predefined general characteristics according to a series of criteria in the user’s terminal, such as, for example, language, the type of browser through which the service is accessed, the regional configuration from which the service is accessed, etc.
- Analytics cookies: those that allow their controller to monitor and analyse the behaviour of users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through this type of cookies is used to measure the activity of websites, applications or platforms and to create browsing profiles for users of those sites, applications and platforms, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of usage data made by users of the service.
- Advertising cookies: those that allow the most efficient possible management of the advertising spaces that, where appropriate, the editor has included on a web page from which the requested service is provided.
- Behavioural advertising cookies: those that allow the most efficient possible management of the advertising spaces on this website. These cookies store information on users’ behaviour obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows a specific profile to be developed in order to display advertising based on that profile.
- External social media cookies: used so that visitors can interact with content from different social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and which are generated only for users of those social networks. The conditions of use of these cookies and the information collected are regulated by the privacy policy of the relevant social platform.
